AIR FRYER DONUTS
To make donuts in an air fryer, you will need:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 3/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Oil or cooking spray for the air fryer
- Additional sugar or any desired toppings, such as sprinkles or glaze
Here's how to prepare the donuts:
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
- In a separate bowl, beat together the milk, egg, and vanilla extract.
- Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
- On a lightly floured surface, roll out the dough to a 1/2-inch thickness. Cut out the donuts using a biscuit cutter or a glass with a wide rim.
- Preheat the air fryer to 350°F. Lightly coat the basket with oil or cooking spray.
- Place the donuts in the basket, being sure not to overcrowd it. You may need to cook the donuts in batches.
- Cook the donuts for 5-7 minutes, or until they are puffed and golden brown.
- Remove the donuts from the air fryer and let them cool for a few minutes.
- Roll the donuts in additional sugar or any desired toppings. Serve the donuts warm.
Note: Cooking times may vary depending on the size and type of your air fryer, as well as the thickness of the donuts. It's always a good idea to check the donuts for doneness and adjust the cooking time as needed.
